Hopefully this will work in the long term and these links will not rot away over time.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived in Corpus around 4 PM after the 4+ hour drive from Iola. To make optimal time, Monica led me down the coastal route that takes you across the bridge from Portland to North Beach. This is a long, high bridge that triggers my fear of heights that, for whatever reason, is pretty deeply embedded. There were lots of dark waves and seagulls eager to get at our snacks, and frolicking in the sea was not for everyone:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vpk1qysEymU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>By the time we got back to the condo, though, the verdict was in: Monica was officially sick.<\/p>\n<p>That night we debated Doc&#8217;s vs. Snoopy&#8217;s for local seafood and went with Doc&#8217;s. This curtailed the remaining possibilities for the trip, leaving the U.S.S.
