{"id":2838,"date":"2020-05-02T23:26:14","date_gmt":"2020-05-03T04:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mooredynasty.net\/?p=2838"},"modified":"2023-09-04T19:06:02","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T00:06:02","slug":"banana-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mooredynasty.net\/index.php\/2020\/05\/banana-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Banana Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>\n  1 3\/4 cup flour\n  <\/td><td>\n  \u00bd tsp. nutmeg and allspice\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  2\/3 cup sugar\n  <\/td><td>   1 cup mashed ripe banana (2 to 3 bananas)   <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  2 tsp. baking powder\n  <\/td><td>\n  1\/3 cup melted butter\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  \u00bd tsp. baking soda\n  <\/td><td>\n  2 tablespoons milk\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  \u00bc salt\n  <\/td><td>\n  2 eggs\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  1 tsp cinnamon\n  <\/td><td>   1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)   <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large mixer bowl combine 1\ncup of the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg,\nand allspice. Add mashed bananas, butter, and milk. Beat with an electric mixer\non low speed till blended, then on high speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and\nremaining flour; beat till blended. Stir in nuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with turbinado sugar (or regular). Bake for 55-60 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Remove from the pan; cool thoroughly on a wire rack. Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
