<\/a><\/p>\nAs you can see, Mitchell\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s impishness is always evident \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the closest he comes to what the rest of us would call a smile when the camera\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pointed at him!<\/p>\n
Mitch is a born treasure hunter \u00e2\u20ac\u201c he finds trinkets everywhere!<\/p>\n
His good humor is nearly always in evidence, too – unless a well-meaning cashier gives him change for his Daddy-O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s $20. The getting he likes, the giving back he doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t!<\/p>\n
Jake\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s still relatively quiet, but the pre-school he and Mitch have been in for a year and a half has really opened him up.<\/p>\n
He doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like to go to bed (where would he get that from?), but he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a big helper with little tasks. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve started him feeding the dogs for spare change; like Mitch, Jake is down with getting the green stuff, but not with giving it away. That makes him mad!<\/p>\n
I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t wait until he hears about the IRS!<\/p>\n
Unlike years past, there weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t any dramatic and\/or humorous episodes of childhood drama in 1998, thank goodness!<\/p>\n No trips to the hospital or intense creek-side rescues this year. But both of the mighty now 5 year olds played YMCA soccer, teeball, and soccer again in the 3 & 4 year old leagues.<\/p>\n Outside of school, they spent most of their time protecting their turf from the diminutive, dynamic daredevil David\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n The poor little boy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6pampered in every way\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6the angel baby\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6also commonly known as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Boop-E-Doop\u00e2\u20ac\u009d now and for the foreseeable future. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve all got something we had do live down \u00e2\u20ac\u201c for David it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s his Mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dual-edged penchants for Betty Boop and nicknames!<\/p>\n He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll manage somehow, probably by scrambling so hard to keep up with the big boys that he won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even notice his moniker. No matter what they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re doing, David\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hot on their heels!<\/p>\n This year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only vacation getaway was a trip to Pleasant Lake, IN over the 4th<\/sup> of July. Highlights included Matt and Ben Armey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fireworks show and the twin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trip in Dad\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s airplane. There was a side note about Mitch falling out of a speeding golf cart driven by Jake at the airport, but I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve put that one out of my mind!
