I went to a friend’s 2nd grade classroom this morning to help out for a festival day. I never thought I’d say it, but I miss school. I miss walking around the classroom and being in charge!! I had to bite my tongue from trying to take over Jill’s class. Not b\/c she’s a bad teacher, she is doing a great job, but instead I wanted in on the action.<\/p>\n
For some reason, I just don’t get this excited being a home school teacher. I think a lot of it has to do with the "home" part of it.<\/p>\n
However, I have to say that I don’t miss the 20+ kids with runny noses and hacking coughs! Part of the reason I came was to read the story, same one, to four different classes since Jill’s voice was hoarse. She’s been fighting this thing for a few weeks, but at this time of year it’s a losing battle. I entered with my Airborne and zinc lozenges!! I left with Purell.<\/p>\n
The boys spent the day with Grammy and Papa, and one boy stayed. My parents are supposed to come out on Sunday, so hopefully they’ll remember that Picklehead. I am off, too much to do, too sleepy to finish it all<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
