As a technology professional, I hate to admit this, but one of the reasons I quit posting here at MooreDynasty is that my WordPress install suddenly stopped allowing me to upload images using Microsoft Live Writer, my favorite blogging tool.
(The real reason is that Facebook became the friend/family gathering place and personal blogging all but died. But that’s another story.)
I recently changed web hosts and was looking forward to the day when I could upload pictures again, but it turned out the site was still broken, both in Live Writer and the WordPress admin pages.
Today, however, I think I have solved my problem.
In WordPress admin, under Settings, Media, my WordPress install had the “Store uploads in this folder” value set to “/wp-content/uploads”. I’ve looked at this many times in the last 2 years, but never saw it as a problem.
A quick Google led me to change that value to “wp-content/uploads” and that tweak seems to have fixed the problem.
