Why do we even bother…

After a long talk with our cell phone provider, Cingular, I was informed that although we were valued customers of 8+ years, our plan does not nor has ever included free nights and weekends. What a rip! How do I prove them wrong? I say screw them and go to somebody else. The problem of course is that for once in our 8+ years the reception is excellent. The damn thing even rings in Wal-Mart now. Go figure.

Second, I found out today after looking for an opthamologist as opposed to an optometrist, that our insurance does not cover routine eye exams. So if Jacob gets a hot poker stuck in his eye we’re covered, but if the poor kid just needs new glasses we’re what….screwed! I think they looked into our gene pool and saw our optical expense future. Since they only cover eye doctors for medical reasons maybe the boys can look forward to Lasik!

Well I’m off to do some household chores that are too boring to list in detail.

  1. Whoever said that government work provides good benefits was DEAD WRONG. In fact, the whole thing’s a bit discouraging sometimes. Luckily the work is good and the location is good and my boss is good, because there are some downers…as for Cingular…if it’s only a $150 fee to terminate early with Sprint, you can’t go too far wrong.
