by Dave’s last basketball game of the year was today. Since he’s a 6th grader now and will be going into junior high next year, this was the last game I expect to coach. We did have a pretty good season, going 5-2-1 thanks in large part to a trio of pretty good players and definitely not the coaching. Sadly, none of the Mercury’s superstars were here today and our opponents really wiped the floor with us. One good part of the game was that Dave scored 6 points and probably played his best game of the year. If he’d practice he could play the game well. But I never wanted to really work hard either when I was that age. It is just a game after all, right?
