Texas Renaissance Festival

To all you of little faith, the robes, all three of them, were completed in one day. Well, kind of , I finished at 12:30 am. However please note that I finished them before the Astros managed to lose yet again!!

We had loads of fun at the Ren. Festival today. Okay not loads, but it was better than last time. This mainly due to the fact that the weekend crowds were absent. I don’t mind going on the weekends with Marc, but sometimes it gets a bit raunchy. There were no beer stands open and so there were no drunken idiots about. I did however have to tell a teenage boy to stop honking a horn during a show. The punk was directly behind me and honking it non-stop!
We sat for a few shows. First the birds of prey. Awesome! He had a vulture tear the flesh off a chicken drumstick in under 15 seconds. Scary! Next we were off to see some jousting.

Depending on your choice of seats, you were supposed to cheer for one of four knights. Our knight was winning up until the end when he started to get cocky. What can you say other than he was from France. Our favorite by far was the Mud Pit Show. Words cannot express how I felt when, as the finale, the head guy not only licked mud, but shoved a handful in his mouth!

Well I am off. The kitchen wants to know if I’ve forgotten it for good. The dirty clothes know I have forgotten them. And the dogs wonder if they can come in since the floor is the same as the ground in the dog run!!
