Friendship

What’s the difference between a great friendship and a great marriage?  Sex!!

That may sound like a joke you would read in a magazine, but if you really think about it, it’s true.

Two in love pour out their souls hoping to still be accepted by the other person, so do friends.

Two in love share dreams and hopes for a future, so do friends.

Two in love grow stronger in their love over time, so do friends.

Two in love learn to accept their differences because their love is stronger than who is right or wrong, so do friends.

Two in love often love each other in cycles as their love changes from infatuation, to being taken for granted, to acceptance that no matter whether their hearts leap for joy at the sight of the other, they still know what love is and can be, so do friends.

Two in love fight for their right to be heard, understood and respected, so do friends.

Two in love expect the other to help them when times are tough, when they mourn the loss of a loved one, or just need a shoulder to cry on, so do friends.

Two in love can be hurt when their love is tested from jealous enemies, so can friends.

Two in love know when to talk, listen, or leave, so do friends.

You are my friend, and I love you.
