Status Update

Hello family and friends, it is I Mitchell Moore stopping by to give a quick update on my life. I realize that I don’t talk to family beyond the weekly or so phone call back to mom and dad, so perhaps the mooredynasty page will be a good outlet of news from my end of the country. I’m still in the Army as a Healthcare Specialist on Fort Benning, GA. I am a Specialist, an E-4, and I just made my promotable status. Which means that I am eligible to be promoted to Sergeant once I have enough points. Points are determined by different skills in the military and Civilian education such as college courses and technical certifications. Currently I am at 518 points and I need around 570 to comfortably make Sergeant by this summer. I am on track to finish an associates of Health Sciences this July so that is really going to help!

My wife, BethAnne, is currently finishing out her second semester as a junior at University of North Carolina in Charlotte. This semester she is taking 18 credit hours on top of participating in ROTC to become a commissioned Army officer. Needless to say I am so proud to have such a hard working wife, I hope one day to be as great of a student as she is! During the school year she resides in Charlotte; A six hour drive that I make quite frequently on the holiday weekends to see her. The distance can be rough but we make the most of our time together and even now I am Skyping with her while she does her school work. Our life together has been amazing together despite the distance, soon we’ll be celebrating our one year anniversary together in March. It’s been a great year with her and I know that there will be many more to come!

Overall life is great! I have a job, going to school for free, living in a house instead of in the barracks, I get paid pretty good and I have two weirdo cats to chase around the house when I’m home. God has blessed my wife and I tremendously and I want to share that with the rest of my family. -Mitch
